Custom Fields
Collect additional information from participants during registration using custom fields.
Custom fields let you gather information beyond the default registration data — for example, a player's in-game name, rank, Discord username, country, or any other detail relevant to your tournament. You define the fields once in settings, and they appear on the registration form for every participant who signs up.
Where to find it
Projects → [Project] → [Tournament] → Settings → Registration, then scroll down to the Custom fields section at the bottom of the page.
Step by step
Adding a custom field:
- Go to Settings → Registration and scroll to the Custom fields section.
- Enter the field label — for example,
In-Game NameorDiscord Username. - Choose the field type: Text, Number, Dropdown, or Checkbox.
- Set whether the field is required or optional for participants to fill in.
- Click Add. The field now appears in the list below and on the registration form.
Editing and removing fields:
A custom field's label and type cannot be changed once it's created — there is no edit option, only delete. If you need to change the wording or type, delete the field and create a new one in its place. Deleting a field removes it from the registration form for future registrations.
Note: If you enabled country or birthdate restrictions in participant rules, those fields are collected automatically and do not need to be added as custom fields. See participant and match rules for details.
Viewing responses
Custom field responses are collected from participants when they register and are stored with each participant's registration record. There is currently no way to view an individual participant's custom field responses when reviewing registrations. CSV export of the full participant list is not yet available as a self-service feature either (see Export Participants) — and once it ships, it will not include custom field values. If you need to review or share the responses participants submit, plan to collect that information through an additional channel until this capability is available.
What happens next
- Configure which information is required during registration via participant and match rules.
- Review manage registrations to accept or refuse pending entries.
