Configure Wellness Settings for Your Program
Enable check-ins, cooldown suggestions, break reminders, and guardian visibility to create a healthier competition environment for your participants.
Wellness settings give organizers controls that promote healthier competition habits, particularly for programs that include younger or guardian-linked participants. You can enable mood check-ins, cooldown suggestions after tough sessions, break reminder rules, guardian visibility into wellness signals, and a curated list of regional support resources — all configured per project. Once enabled, wellness activity is available in the Wellness dashboard so you can monitor alerts and compliance across your events.
Where to find it
Projects → [Your Project] → Settings → Wellness
(projects/[id]/settings/wellness)
Step by step
- Go to Settings → Wellness.
- Toggle on the wellness features your program requires.
- Configure break threshold rules for the break types your program uses.
- Add any regional support resources you want participants and guardians to see.
- Click Save.
Available wellness controls
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Turns wellness features on or off for the project. Other controls are inactive until this is on. |
| Check-ins | Enables periodic mood, fatigue, and focus self-reports from players during sessions. |
| Cooldown Suggestions | Recommends short breaks after difficult match sequences or loss streaks. |
| Guardian Overlay | Exposes wellness signals and playtime information to linked guardian accounts. |
| Break Threshold Rules | A list of rules — one per break type (for example eye strain, hydration, physical, posture reset, post-loss cooldown) — each with a time window (per session, daily, weekly), a threshold in minutes that triggers a reminder, and an optional recommended break duration. These drive break reminders, not a hard session cutoff. |
| Regional Support Resources | Add or remove named crisis/support links (title + URL) that are shown to participants and guardians in your program's region. |
Wellness settings do not include an enforced session-duration cap, an age-gating toggle, or organizer-contact-frequency limits — these are not part of the wellness configuration.
If your program serves minors, guardians link to a student account and can set their own playtime and spending controls, and can restrict a linked player's tournament participation, from the guardian dashboard. That is a separate feature from the wellness settings on this page — see your program's guardian and parental-controls documentation for details.
Monitoring wellness data
After enabling wellness features, navigate to Projects → [Your Project] → Wellness (projects/[id]/wellness/) to see a live wellness dashboard. It shows KPI cards for open alerts, at-risk users, and break compliance, plus a real-time feed of wellness alerts (each with a severity — info, warning, or critical — and a state: pending, acknowledged, in review, escalated, resolved, or dismissed). New alerts push to the dashboard automatically, and staff can acknowledge, escalate, or resolve each one directly from the feed.
Related pages reachable from the wellness workspace:
- Wellness → Alerts (

- Average session length
- Break completion rate
- Risk-level distribution across your player base (low, moderate, high, critical)
- Adoption rate and content engagement rate
- Wellness → Trends (
projects/[id]/wellness/trends) — historical breakdowns of wellness activity by week, month, or quarter. - Wellness → Cohorts (
projects/[id]/wellness/cohorts) — group players into cohorts to target and track wellness interventions. - Wellness → Experiments (

Use this data to adjust your break thresholds or report outcomes to guardians and program stakeholders.
What happens next
- Wellness rules take effect immediately after saving and apply to all participants in the project.
- Participants receive in-platform prompts when a break threshold is reached, based on the rules you've configured.
- Guardians linked to a participant can see that participant's wellness signals and playtime information if Guardian Overlay is enabled.

Projects, Workspaces, and Team Management
Projects are the top-level operating units in the organizer workspace. A project is where an organization groups its tournaments, staff access, branding, communications, financial settings, and long-term program controls.
