Manage Team and Roles

Invite team members to your project and assign the appropriate role to control what they can access and do.

Each project has its own team. You invite members individually and assign them a role that determines their permissions; they gain access only to that project. Invitations are sent as a link you share with the invitee — there is no automated invitation email, so plan to deliver the link yourself (chat, email client, or however your organization normally shares links).

Where to find it

Projects → select a project → Settings → Team

Step by step

  1. Open Settings from the project sidebar, then select Team.
  2. Click Invite member.
  3. Enter the member's email address.
  4. Select a role from the dropdown (see role descriptions below). You can also assign a custom role alongside the base role if your project has defined any.
  5. Click Invite Member to submit the dialog. It then displays an invite token and link — copy it and send it to the invitee yourself. The link expires after 7 days.
  6. Once the invitee opens the link and accepts, they appear in the team list with their assigned role. Until then, the invite exists only as the token you copied; it is not tracked as a row in the team list.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerFull control over the project including settings, billing, team management, and deletion.
AdminFull access to all features. Cannot delete the project or change billing.
ManagerCan manage tournaments and settings.
ModeratorHandles participant and match moderation. In the team list this role is currently shown with the same label as Member.
MemberCan view and participate. Standard project access with limited support permissions.
ViewerRead-only access. Cannot make any changes.

The invite dialog's role dropdown offers Admin, Manager, Member, and Viewer. To assign the Moderator role, invite the member with one of those roles first, then change their role to Moderator from their row in the team list.

Per-member capabilities

Beyond the assigned role, an Owner or Admin can open a member's row and adjust their individual capabilities — toggles such as Administrate, Set up tournament, Set up structure, Report results, Manage participants, Place participants, Manage registrations, and Manage final standings. These layer on top of the member's role to fine-tune exactly what they can do without creating a new role.

Custom project roles

Settings → Team → Project Roles lets an Owner or Admin create custom roles with their own permission matrix, separate from the built-in roles above. A custom role can be assigned to a member in addition to their base system role, both when sending an invite and when editing an existing member. System roles themselves cannot be edited or deleted.

What happens next

After building your team, review governance and permission policies if your program requires stricter access control.
