Track and Resolve Issues During a Live Event

The issue queue gives staff a structured way to log, assign, and resolve problems that arise during a tournament — from player reports to technical failures.

The issue queue is a lightweight ticketing tool built into the tournament's Control Room. When something goes wrong during an event — a player reports suspicious behavior, a match is stuck, a technical problem occurs — you log an issue there to track it, and resolve it with a note once the problem is handled.

Where to find it

Projects → [Project] → [Tournament] → Live → Control Room → Open Issues

Direct path: projects/[id]/tournaments/[tournamentId]/live/control-room

The Live workspace has seven tabs: Overview, Active Matches, Pending Matches, All Matches, Participants, Audit, and Control Room. The issue queue is not a separate tab — it's the Open Issues panel inside Control Room, alongside Tournament Controls and the Bracket Repair wizard.

Step by step

Create an issue

  1. In the Open Issues panel, click Create issue.
  2. Enter a type for the issue — one of Technical, Dispute, No Show, Connectivity, Admin Flag, Participant Complaint, Cheating Suspicion, Rule Violation, Schedule Conflict, Map Veto Blocked, Report Escalation, Officiating Escalation, Stream Health, Operational Override, or Other.
  3. Choose a severity from the dropdown: Critical, High, Medium, or Low.
  4. Write a description of the problem (at least 10 characters).
  5. Submit the form. The issue appears at the top of the queue immediately.

The create form does not currently include a way to search for and link a specific match or participant — issues are logged with a type, severity, and description only.

Work through the queue

  1. The Open Issues panel lists issues that are currently open, newest first, with a count badge showing how many are outstanding.
  2. Each issue card shows its severity, description, how long ago it was created, and — if it came from a flow that already tied it to a match — a shortened match ID.
  3. Click Assign to me on a card to flag that you're taking ownership of it.
  4. Click Resolve to close it out (see below).

Behind the scenes, an issue can carry other statuses as it moves through review — acknowledged, investigating, pending response, escalated, resolved, or closed — but the Open Issues panel itself only surfaces open issues and the resolve action.

Resolve an issue

  1. Click Resolve on the issue card. A dialog opens showing the issue's severity and description.
  2. Enter a resolution note describing what was done and why (at least 10 characters).
  3. Confirm. The issue is resolved and drops out of the open queue.

What happens next

If resolving the issue calls for action on a specific match — correcting a reported score, starting a pending match, or submitting a dispute — open that match from the tournament's Matches list; those steps are covered in Match interventions. Pausing or delaying play is a tournament-wide control in Live → Control Room, not a per-match action.

If the issue involves a formal dispute that needs a referee ruling or a published decision, move the case to the officiating workspace. See Officiating and disputes.

Apply Interventions to a Match

Correct a match result, submit a dispute, or pause the tournament when something goes wrong during live play — and how to roll back a recent intervention from the audit log.

Handle Officiating and Formal Disputes

The officiating workspace is where referees and moderators review cases, issue formal rulings, and manage dispute resolution from submission through publication.
