Set up your payout method

Configure a bank account or payment provider so Tournament Suite can disburse prize money and registration fee revenue to your organization.

Payout setup is required before Tournament Suite can send any money to your organization — whether that is prize winnings or revenue from registration fees. You complete this once at the account level and it applies across all your projects.

Where to find it

Payout Setup is an account-wide page — it is not scoped to any single project. You can reach it from the main dashboard menu, or from your account's tax settings if you still need to finish onboarding.

Step by step

The payout onboarding wizard walks you through four steps, in order:

  1. Verify your email. Confirm your account email address before anything else — this step must be complete before you can continue.
  2. Add a payment method. Provide the details Tournament Suite needs to disburse funds to you.
  3. Submit your tax information. Every organizer must complete this step. The specific form you're asked to fill out depends on your country and entity type — for example, a W-9 for US persons, a W-8BEN for foreign individuals, a W-8BEN-E for foreign entities, or a T4A for Canadian recipients.
  4. Verify your identity. Complete identity verification (KYC) as a separate, required step from tax documentation.

A progress bar on the Payout Setup page shows how many of these four steps you've completed. Once all four are done, your payout setup is complete and disbursements can proceed.

Check your setup status

Whenever you have an outstanding payout or tax-readiness requirement — for example, a missing tax form or an expiring document — a status banner appears at the top of the Payout Setup page and your account's tax settings page. The banner lists each specific issue and links you directly to where you can resolve it. If you don't see a banner, there's nothing blocking your payouts.

You can also check your progress at any time from the Payout Setup page itself, which shows the same four steps and marks each one as complete or outstanding.

What happens next

  • With payout setup complete, you can approve prize disbursements from Prizes and payouts.
  • To review all past disbursements and revenue, go to Financial overview.

Note: Disbursements cannot be initiated until all four payout setup steps — email verification, payment method, tax information, and identity verification — are complete. If you're missing something, check the account-wide status banner for the specific blocker.

Configure prize pools and approve payouts

Set up how prize money is allocated across placements, generate prize assignments from final standings, and review them for payout.

Hold prize funds in escrow

Escrow commits prize money to a protected pool before a tournament starts, walks it through funding and verification stages, and releases it to winners once a dispute window clears and payout requirements are met.
