Monitor and Control a Live Tournament

The Live Operations dashboard gives you a real-time view of every active match, pending match, and operational event in your tournament.

The Live Operations workspace is the control room for a tournament in progress. From one screen you can see the full state of your event, act on problems as they surface, and communicate with all participants without switching between views.

Where to find it

Projects → [Project] → [Tournament] → Live

Direct path: projects/[id]/tournaments/[tournamentId]/live/overview

What you see

Live Operations is organized into tabs:

  • Overview — a summary of the tournament's current status and live metrics
  • Active Matches — matches currently being played, with live status indicators
  • Pending Matches — matches scheduled but not yet started, including readiness status for each participant
  • All Matches — the complete match list for the tournament
  • Participants — per-participant check-in and readiness status
  • Audit — a running trail of every action taken by staff during the event
  • Control Room — tournament-wide controls: pause/resume, delay matches, send broadcasts, resolve reported issues, and repair the bracket

Step by step

  1. Open the tournament and click Live in the left navigation.
  2. Review the Overview tab for the tournament's current status.
  3. Switch to Active Matches to see everything currently in progress, with live status indicators. To act on a specific match — report a score, start it manually, submit a dispute — open that match from the tournament's Matches list; see Match interventions.
  4. Check Pending Matches for any participants who have not confirmed readiness before their scheduled start time.
  5. Open Control Room for tournament-wide actions:
    • To pause the entire tournament — for example, during a server outage — click Pause, enter a reason, and confirm.
    • To resume, click Resume and confirm.
    • To push back upcoming match start times without pausing the tournament, click Delay matches, choose a preset delay (5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes), enter a reason, and confirm.
    • To message all participants, use the announcement panel: choose a priority (Info, Warning, or Critical), write your message, and send it.
    • To review and resolve reported problems, use the issue queue in Control Room. See Issue management.
    • To fix a bracket after a bad match result or other structural issue, use the Bracket Repair Wizard: choose an operation — swap participants, advance a winner, or reset a branch — review the confirmation, and apply it.
  6. Use Audit for a full history of actions taken by staff during the event.

What happens next

If a specific match needs attention, open it from the tournament's Matches list and apply the appropriate action there. See Match interventions for the available controls.

If a problem has been reported or escalated, use the issue queue in Control Room to track and resolve it. See Issue management.

Export Participants

What participant data you can currently review and export for a tournament, and what a CSV export will contain once it's available.

Apply Interventions to a Match

Correct a match result, submit a dispute, or pause the tournament when something goes wrong during live play — and how to roll back a recent intervention from the audit log.
