Use and manage tournament templates

Start a tournament from a pre-configured template, or browse and favorite templates for future use.

Templates are pre-built tournament configurations that let you skip repetitive setup work. Browse templates provided on the platform and apply one when creating a new tournament for your organization.

Where to find it

Using a template when creating a tournament: Projects → [Your Project] → Tournaments → Create tournament → choose Use a template on the first step

There is no dedicated "Templates" entry in the project sidebar — the template browser and a template's detail page are reached from inside the tournament-creation flow.

Step by step

Starting from a template

  1. Navigate to Projects → [Your Project] → Tournaments → Create tournament.
  2. On the first step, choose Use a template instead of Start from scratch. A short list of featured templates appears inline, with a Browse all link into the full template browser.
  3. In the full browser, explore templates by:
    • Browse — see all available templates
    • Categories — filter by game, format, or event type
    • Recommended — templates suggested based on your project's discipline
  4. Click a template to view its details, organized into four tabs:
    • Overview — description, intended use case, and key settings
    • Structure — preview the bracket format and stages
    • Reviews — feedback from other organizers who used it
    • Analytics — usage count and rating stats for the template
  5. Optionally, click the heart icon on the template detail page to add it to your favorites for quicker access next time.
  6. Click Use this template (or continue from the inline featured-template card).
  7. The new tournament is created with the template's settings, structure, and format pre-filled.
  8. Review and adjust any settings that differ for your specific event (dates, name, registration limits, branding).

When to use templates

  • You run the same format repeatedly (weekly cups, monthly leagues, seasonal finals).
  • Multiple staff members create tournaments and you want consistent configuration.
  • You are starting a new event in a format you have refined over multiple iterations.

What happens next

After creating a tournament from a template, configure registration settings, set up the structure, and publish the event. You can also duplicate a past tournament if you want to carry over participant history and specific customizations from a real event.
